Projects in Matale, Uganda

girls dormitory building project

The St. Andrew’s School dormitory will provide 400+ girls will better, safer access to education. The building also includes classrooms and housing for teachers. Funds will go towards finishing touches such as desks, chairs, and painting.

Water Harvesting Project

This project will provide St. Andrew’s School with clean, safe water and allow girls to focus on their studies instead of collecting water from contaminated sources. This project has been fully funded. The work is projected to be completed by the end of 2021.

Vocational Skill Building Program for Teen Mothers

This program will give teen mothers who can no longer attend school the opportunity to learn basic life skills and a vocational skill, giving them the means to better provide for their family and contribute to the community.

Chwele Women’s Group

The Chwele Women’s Group was established to empower women with the skills and opportunity to financially provide for their families through handicrafts. If you purchase a quilt or banana fiber purse at the market, it was made by this group of women, and proceeds from your purchase will go to them.
