Ongoing Self-Sustained Projects

Since 2001, with the support of donors, Harambee Centre has helped improved lives in rural Africa and the Pacific Northwest through many projects and programs. One criteria for projects is the potential for it to be self-sustainable after a period of time. For example, Harambee Centre committed to building a new science lab for St. Andrew’s School in Uganda and the local community and school committed to securing an on-going source of funding for future supplies and staff. For this reason, nearly all of the projects listed here are an important part of on-going community enrichment.
