Tammy Kaufman White Salmon - Bingen Rotary Club (2025-2026) Chair: Public Image / International Service Committee

Tammy Kaufman is a communications specialist who has been a White Salmon-Bingen Rotary Club member since 2008. Tammy has served a variety of club roles, including public relations chair, membership chair, Club President in 2019-2020, and is now active as the club's International Service Committee chair, as well as serving on the Global Grants coaching team for District 5100. She is a member of the Paul Harris Society as a Major Donor and a monthly donor to PolioPlus. Tammy joined Rotary to network in her new community, but she stayed in Rotary for friendship and service opportunities.

Her path first crossed with Grace Kuto in 2017 during a District training session on global grants. They discussed their diverse life experiences, their desire to make the world a better place, and their enthusiasm for utilizing Rotary District 5100 and The Rotary Foundation’s tools to support service projects. This led to a partnership with Harambee Centre on two Global Grants, a water project in Uganda, and then the Najijali Project in Kenya to empower teen mothers to become financially independent. Through work in Kenya, Tammy’s club has created a deep connection with Harambee Centre and Grace Resources for Community Action (GRECA). It has been supporting GRECA's continued development as a Public Benefit Organization (PBO) and the post-grant sustainability of Cohort 3, now in its first year of a two-year vocational training program.
