Scholarship Project
Welcome to the future streamlined mission of Harambee Centre: Scholarships! For more than 20 years the Harambee Centre has embarked on countless projects to benefit communities in rural East Africa. As we look to our future, we are shifting to a 100% scholarship-focused mission. In 2023 we aim to establish our first scholarship endowment fund.
Scholarships will support:
Najijali Project Students in Chwele, Uganda
Sister School Students in Kenya and Uganda
Cultural Exchange Opportunities to East Africa for African American College Students
The Chwele Vocational Training College takes 25 students a year and teaches them business operations, reproductive health, mental health support, food security, and a vocational skill of their choice. Tuition for one teenage mother’s education at the Najajili Vocational College is $1,200 USD. Would you like to partner with us and be the change?
